Some people call it “Day Training”, but, of course, I have to be a little bit different.
Training without the guardian present was something I wasn’t interested in doing at first as I’m a very firm believer in “relationship first”, and that the best tool you have to train your dog is the bond you create with them.

That belief hasn’t changed, however, after having a few clients ask me to work with their dogs without them present, and then update them on the progress, I’ve realized how much I actually enjoy just communicating with the dog, and giving them my full attention while working on their skills. I’ve also realized how quickly the dogs learn when my attention is not split between them and their guardians.

And so, Trust & Train is born!

Just like Life Skills 101, the Discovery Call is free and we can work on any of the life skills you deem necessary for a happy life with your dog.

You create the goals, I will help your dog learn them, and then (here’s the best part) you can watch (and replay) every session.

How?

I will be wearing a body cam while I work with your dog! I will record the full hour, from the time I get out of my car to the time I get back in my car to leave for the day. During the session, I will provide commentary about everything your dog and I are doing, what I’m observing and learning about your dog, and decoding your dogs body language in real time.

You will get to see the training session from a unique point of view: directly from the dog trainer. Through watching our sessions, you will see my training in real time so you can learn what works with your dog, why it works, and how to recreate it for your own work with your dog.

Common goals are:

recall
boundary training (there’s nothing scarier than a dog bolting out an open door… I’ve been there!)
how to have proper greetings with people, children, and with other dogs (or, even better, how to ignore them altogether)
working on “place”
loose leash walking
confidence building
basic canine body language – do you know what your dog is trying to tell you? I can help you learn
enrichment – what it is, why it’s important, and how can we facilitate it
anything else that you can think of!

Investment Includes:

Pre-Registration complimentary Discovery call – This is a phone conversation for intake & history discussion (no cost)
In Person Assessment including a SEARCH Session at the end – This includes real time assessment of the dog, Q&A, Observation & video recording of the SEARCH Session with observations, and professional insights and personalized next steps.
Book a multi-session package within 14 days, and this Assessment and SEARCH Session visit gets counted it as your first session and applied to the cost to your package.

Investment Options:

Assessment and SEARCH Session Visit – Stand Alone → $125

Multi-Session 1: Four In-Home Sessions → $500

Multi-Session 2: Six In-Home Sessions → $700

Multi Session 3: Ten In-Home Sessions → $1000

ADD ON: A detailed review of each Trust & Train session with written, time-stamped notes can be provided by request at an additional cost of $50 per session.

* Service area of 50km surrounding Darlings Lake is included for this package,
an additional charge of $0.50/km will be added beyond those 50km.*

Important:

Please remember that I am a trainer and I am your coach. I have the education, knowledge, and experience to give you the tools that you need to help create a special relationship and a connected bond with your dog, which, in turn, will be the foundation for all things training. Your dog’s results are directly correlated to the the amount of time, effort, and practice that you put into working with them on their training plan. This is what will determine how successful you and your dog are in everything the two of you learn together.
